The 2018 season began on Easter Sunday, the 1st of April, and will proceed in accordance with the following schedule:
Easter: Sunday, 1st and Monday, 2nd of April.
Early May Bank Holiday Weekend: Sunday, 6th and Monday, 7th of May.
Veterans’ Day: Saturday, 19th of May.
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend: Sunday, 27th and Monday, 28th of May.
Last Sunday in June: 24th of June.
Last Sunday in July: 29th of July.
Summer Bank Holiday Weekend: Sunday, 26th and Monday, 27th of August.
Last Sunday in September:30th of September.
Event to mark the Armistice Centenary: Sunday, 11th of November.
The Centre will usually be open from 10am until 4pm, except for the Veteran’s Day (Saturday, 19th of May) when it will be open from 1.30 pm. Entrance and car parking are always Free.
The Centre is situated within the campus of the National Construction College East (NCC) at Bircham Newton, near King's Lynn, Norfolk PE31 6RH. The Centre is easy to find in West Norfolk, where there are many road signs giving directions to NCC. The Heritage Centre is located near the B1155 road, from Stanhoe to Great Bircham, which passes through the NCC site. It is close to the Birches Hotel & Conference Centre. Additional direction signs are displayed within the campus on open days. There is also a large external sign, which will help you to locate the building from the car park.
If you are a representative of a large group who wishes to visit, but you are unable to attend on one of the scheduled open dates, we will try to accommodate your group by opening the Centre on an alternative date. We regret that we are not able to offer ad-hoc visits to individuals who are not part of a larger group.
