Please note that the following schedule and all ad-hoc visits to the Heritage Centre are suspended for the timed being because of the Coronavirus pandemic. We hope to reopen later in the year if the situation improves.
The 2020 season was to begin on Easter Sunday and proceed in accordance with the following schedule:
Easter: Sunday, 12th and Monday, 13th of April.
Early May Bank Holiday Weekend: Friday, 8th and Sunday, 10th of May.
Spring Bank Holiday Weekend: Sunday, 24th and Monday, 25th of May.
Sunday, 14th of June.
Last Sunday in June: 28th of June.
Sunday, 12th of July.
Last Sunday in July: 26th of July.
Summer Bank Holiday Weekend: Sunday, 30th and Monday, 31st of August.
Last Sunday in September: 27th of September.
Last Sunday in October: 25th of October.
Remembrance Sunday: Sunday 8th of November.
The Centre was to be open from 10am until 4pm on each of the above dates. Entrance and car parking would have been Free and disabled access and toilets would have been be available.
The Centre is situated within the campus of the National Construction College East (NCC) at Bircham Newton, near King's Lynn, Norfolk PE31 6RH. The Centre is easy to find in West Norfolk, where there are many road signs giving directions to NCC. The Heritage Centre is located near the B1155 road, from Stanhoe to Great Bircham, which passes through the NCC site. It is close to the Birches Hotel & Conference Centre. Additional direction signs are displayed within the campus on open days. There is also a large external sign, which will help you to locate the building from the car park.
If you are a representative of a large group who wishes to visit, but you are unable to attend on one of the scheduled open dates, we will try to accommodate your group by opening the Centre on an alternative date. We regret that we are not able to offer ad-hoc visits to individuals who are not part of a larger group.
